Raghu is in the upper echelon of Cisco Engineering having been awarded with the ellusive Distinguished engineer Status.
He is the Chief Architect of Big Data and Analytics Solutions working
within Cisco’s Data Centre and Virtualisation Engineering Business Unit in San Jose, CA. His current focus areas include emerging technologies, Data Centre solutions, and Big Data and analytics strategy and reports directly to the VP of DC Engineering.
He is Cisco¹s representative for standards bodies for system performance. He has many years of technical accomplishments with significant expertise in system architecture, performance engineering and creating disruptive technology solutions. Raghu has served on several industry standard committees for performance evaluation and program committees of leading academic conferences. He chaired the industry¹s first standards committee for benchmarking big data systems. He is a member of the IEEE big data steering committee, board of directors Of the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC), and founding chair of its International Conference Series on Performance Evaluation andBenchmarking. He has published 50+ peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. Raghu holds master’s degrees from University of Massachusetts and Goa University, and completed advanced management program from Stanford University.
