Private and Open Data in Asia: A Regional Guide.
Why do taxi drivers not want to pick me up when I most need a taxi? Join GrabTaxi’s Kevin Lee to learn how GrabTaxi uses machine learning to answer this age old question and build models for predicting taxi availability in order to improve matching on the platform.
Kevin is VP of Data and Growth at GrabTaxi, where among other things he leads IT, recruiting and the financial services business unit, but is by far the most passionate about leading data science, working on the largest private data set of its kind in South East Asia to do everything from optimally matching drivers and passengers to forecasting supply and demand to more accurately predicting ETA. He previously started and ran Palantir’s Asia business, and served in the Singapore Government. He graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
