In this session, Cecile Barbaroux, head of data and insight, will explain how Schibsted Classified Media is reinventing itself to embrace the opportunities afforded by big data. The global company, once a group of decentralized marketplaces worldwide, is now working to become lean and data-driven. She will discuss how the organization is adopting agile ways of working, applying cutting-edge data analytics technology; and what it takes to make change happen in a mature, successful company with strong brands and established operations worldwide.
Cécile Barbaroux is head of data and insight at Schibsted Classified Media, where she leads a central team of data scientists and engineers with a clear mission to facilitate and inspire data-driven product development. Since joining the company in 2012, she has focused on democratizing access to data and evolving the group data strategy. Before working at Schibsted, Cécile worked as a marketing analyst at AirFrance and Shell, where she initiated a passion for data and business intelligence.
