Description

The digital twin presents a compelling case where a virtual model of physical assets is used to predict behaviors and prescribe actions. In practice, implementing these twins presents a problem of handling data and models at scale. Models created by data scientists, engineering experts, and business analysts must be combined with data that includes traditional IT data—like service records—with unconventional IoT and image data. Capturing assumptions of starting with the digital twins of business artifacts like assets, people, and events presents a flexible way of managing models and all associated data.

Teresa Tung and William Gatehouse share an approach to managing this twin. They detail the lessons they learned through the experience of creating twins, walking you through how an oil and gas company was able to leverage unconventional data and create and use the digital twin.

What you'll learn

  • Discover data architectures for handling IT data with unconventional IoT data
  • Learn how to combine AI and engineering models
  • Understand the domain knowledge graph
