Coaching and mentoring have risen in prominence and popularity due to their ability to create a virtuous cycle for participants. Coaches are given the opportunity to improve their management skills, and trainees gain an advocate when performance reviews come around.

Drawing on his experience standing up a coaching program, James Thompson explains how to build a technical coaching program in your organization and details what a mature and sustainable coaching program can look like once rolled out. Along the way, James covers matching coaches with trainees, supporting new coaches, and integrating coaching with performance review practices.
