Software architects often focus too much on the technical side to building software, including key platform or design decisions or finding reasons to use the latest and greatest technologies. We often forget that software is built by people, and without considering how the people work together, architectural visions are wasted. Patrick Kua explores why and how architects should care about high-performance teams and looks at ways architects can influence them.

Hi Hugh! I hope you enjoyed the talk and thanks for starting a discussion. I have already uploaded the slides via this site, and you can also find them on slideshare here

Although you can see the reWork site from google, the more detailed article about the five elements of a team is detailed on the NYTimes

All the best.

Hi Patrick, I see your slides aren’t up yet so this may be in them but … do you have a good link for more info on Google’s 5 key points? I’d be interested to hear a little more on what they said about meaning and impact of work.
