Registration / Check-in Hours

Check in at the O’Reilly Software Architecture Conference Registration to pick up your badge and event schedule. Registration is located in the Essex Room (Sunday) and Mezzanine Foyer (Monday – Wednesday).

Use your Check in QR Code at Registration

You'll receive your "Software Architecture Check-in Code" email the day before the event. This email contains your check-in QR code that you can scan to check in at the conference, either from your smartphone or a printout.

Your Software Architecture badge

Your badge includes a passive RFID chip that contains an ID number. None of your personal information is stored in your RFID badge. We use the aggregate traffic-flow information from the badges to help us better manage the event. For more details or to opt out, visit the Customer Service desk at Registration after you pick up your badge. Read more.

Speaker Lounge Hours

Check in and collect your badge and materials onsite at the Speaker Lounge, located in Victorian.

Sponsor Pavilion

Make sure to stop by the Sponsor Pavilion to check out the exhibitors displaying the latest in open source and related tools and technologies, nonprofits and projects, visit with speakers, and other activities.

Training and Tutorial Preparation—save the wifi!

If you're attending a training course or tutorial, please review the instructions for each session and take action on the requirements before you arrive. Some training courses and tutorials require software downloads, installations, and other "homework." Instructions can be found on the detail page for each training or tutorial.

Author Signings

Author book signings are being held in the O’Reilly booth on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first 25 attendees will receive a complimentary autographed copy of a book. Limit 1 book per attendee.

Want Software Architecture info to go? Download our mobile event app packed with schedules, networking features, and other essentials. There will be limited printed versions of the daily schedule onsite, we encourage you to download the app in advance.

Online Attendee Directory

The Online Attendee Directory for the O’Reilly Software Architecture Conference is now open. See who else will be at the show this year, set up your personal profile, message other attendees, and manage your contacts. You will need to make sure you are opted-in to the Attendee Directory to begin using it.

Set Up Your Personal Schedule

Create your own Conference agenda using the personal scheduler function. Mark the presentations and events you want to attend by clicking on the calendar icon next to each listing on the website. You can then access it by clicking on the "personal schedule" link in the Schedule View page. You can also use the Event App to build your daily schedule.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet will be available throughout the conference area. Keep in mind that you're sharing the network with your fellow conference attendees, so please refrain from downloading large files while on the conference network. If you need assistance getting online, please visit the customer service desk in Registration or send a message to @oreillysacon.

Speaker Slides

We'll be posting speaker slides as we get them; however keep in mind not all speakers choose to make their slides available for download.

Video Recordings

All keynotes, sessions, and tutorials at Software Architecture are being recorded (pending speaker consent). This video compilation will be available for viewing in Safari about three weeks after the conference ends. Please note: If you have a Platinum or Gold pass, the video compilation will automatically be added to your O'Reilly Account.

Photography & video

Our goal is to capture the excitement of our conferences, and you may see photographers or videographers (including ones we've hired) documenting this event. Photos or videos taken by or on behalf of O’Reilly may be posted on one or more of our sites or used in future marketing materials and publications. We also encourage attendees to share their conference experiences through social media. It's possible that you would appear in some of these shots. We invite you to speak directly with any photographer if you have concerns about their activities. Please note that audio and video recording or broadcasting of presentations (keynotes, sessions, tutorials, workshops, and training) by attendees is not permitted.

Rate / Comment on Sessions

Have a question or comment for a speaker? Post them in the "Add New Comment" field found at the bottom of any session detail page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public.

You can also rate the sessions you attend on the Event App. Just click the Session Evaluation link on the session description page to submit your rating.

Nursing Room

If you need a private, nearby space for pumping or breastfeeding while you're onsite at the conference, please visit the Customer Service desk in the conference registration area for information and access.
