It took a while for the idea of using an alternative JavaScript library to make inroads into the Rails community. But as Rails has matured, more and more developers have taken to the jQuery library. In the last year, the jRails plugin was released to large fanfare, and more and more developers have become comfortable with writing their own JavaScript, many choosing to use jQuery.

This session will bring together a member of the core team, Rails developers who use jQuery and Rails developers interested in jQuery to talk about techniques for using jQuery with Ruby on Rails (and other Ruby frameworks).
