Are you thinking of building apps that use the Android GPS? The Android location capabilities are very powerful. It has six different ways to retrieve location data. The fun and challenge is making sense of these in order to build great applications.

In this session we’ll dive deep into the android.location package and pack it with real-world use case examples that you can use to validate results and give the best end user experience. You’ll see why the very first location results are not necessarily the most appropriate to use. Many of the concepts will be demonstrated using an open source GPS testing tool. You’ll walk away with ready-to-use patterns and concepts as well as a tool in hand to test them out.
