For developerWorks, he wrote the columns “Charming Python” and “XML Matters.” He is a previous OSCon speaker; a previous speaker at PyCon; a member of the Python Software Foundation and of its Board of Directors, and Chair of the PSF Trademarks Committee. He is previous board member and CTO of the Open Voting Consortium.
