With most modern web applications, there are requirements for both SQL access to complex data as well as simple Key-Value look-ups. This session will cover how to use the HandlerSocket Plug-In for MySQL to get exponentially faster look-ups for simple access patterns. We’ll ask, and answer, the following questions:

  • What is HandlerSocket?
  • Why use HandlerSocket?
  • When should I use HandlerSocket?
  • What “gotchas” should I look out for?

By the end of the presentation, you’ll be able to identify if (and where) HandlerSocket would fit into your application stack.
