Distributed version control systems (DVCS) such as
Mercurial and Git support the ability to push and
pull changesets between instances of a repository,
providing versioned storage of filesystem content.

Wouldn’t it be nice if this concept could be used
for database content, using records instead of
files and directories?

This would allow us to extend the DVCS model to
support other team tools like bug tracking and
project management, while providing better
administration features like user accounts.

This presentation is about the experience of
designing and implementing just such a system.

The presentation will be technical, given by the
principal designer and implementor of the code.
All of the code in the presentation is open source.
Nothing “for sale” will be mentioned.
