Integration Testing PHP Applications

Location: F151 Level: Intermediate
Average rating: ****.
(4.00, 5 ratings)

Integration testing is crucial to maintaining the integrity of PHP
applications and an agile work environment. We will introduce how to get started with Selenium RC and PHPUnit’s SeleniumTestCase to remote control a web browser for testing any PHP application.

This talk will lead by example, dipping briefly into the mechanics and test methodology but primarily focusing on practical tips for implementing integration and acceptance testing.

Demonstrations and examples of designing markup for testability, automating markup validation, testing AJAX updates, and wrapping PHP’s DOM functions to test the structure and content of HTML documents using simple CSS style selectors will all be presented.
