Thunderbird 3

Emerging Topics
Location: E146 Level: Novice
Average rating: ***..
(3.50, 2 ratings)

In this talk, we’ll give the audience a status report on where Mozilla’s Thunderbird project is — what’s planned for Thunderbird 3, what the cool developments and features are, and how to get involved.

Assuming the talk is accepted, we’ll update the abstract before the printing deadline, but as of right now it’s hard to know what exactly will be included. High level points:

  • Calendar integration
  • How we got much faster search
  • Our approach to improving UI
  • Extensions, extensions, extensions
