Pushmi: Subversion Replication System

Location: D136 Level: Novice
Average rating: ***..
(3.50, 2 ratings)

As Subversion becomes the enterprise standard for version control, it’s now critical for the system to scale for more distributed development teams. Companies with teams in multiple locations suffer from a centralized master version control repository, as the latency and potential outage of the Internet are counter-productive for developers.

Pushmi is an open source solution that creates transparent slave replicas that are writable by normal Subversion clients, so it can be seamlessly added to the existing infrastructure. This talk discusses the architecture of Pushmi and a case study on Pushmi deployment as a high-availability solution for modern source control repository.
