Your badge and the O'Reilly Events App work together

Badges at OSCON contain a passive RFID chip that works together with the Events app to enhance your experience. You can view the sessions you actually attended, rate them, and see your notes - both during and after the conference. No personal information is stored in the RFID badge, only an ID number. For more details or to opt out, visit the Customer Service desk at Registration after you pick up your badge. Read more.

Put your historical knowledge of open source to the test. We've created a set of 20 different wooden tokens, each with an image representing a significant event in open source history. These tokens are distributed in various places here at OSCON. The first 500 attendees to collect all 20 tokens and correctly match each of them with an historical event will receive a pair of comfortable and stylish OSCON lounge pants. Read more.

Download the O'Reilly Events app

Want OSCON info to go? Download our mobile event app packed with schedules, networking features, and other essentials. There will be limited printed versions of the daily schedule onsite, we encourage you to download the app in advance.

Online Attendee Directory

The Online Attendee Directory for OSCON is now open. See who else will be at OSCON this year, set up your personal profile, message other attendees, and manage your contacts. You will need to make sure you are opted-in to the Attendee Directory to begin using it.

Set up your personal schedule

Create your own OSCON agenda using the personal scheduler function. Mark the presentations and events you want to attend by clicking on the calendar icon next to each listing on the website. You can then access it by clicking on the "personal schedule" link in the Schedule View page.

Wireless internet access

Wireless Internet will be available throughout the conference area. There is no password required to access the OSCON wireless network. Keep in mind that you're sharing the network with your fellow OSCON attendees, so please refrain from downloading large files while on the conference network. If you need assistance getting online, please visit the customer service desk in Registration or send a message to @oscon.

Official OSCON T-shirt

If your pass includes the official OSCON t-shirt (Platinum, Training, Gold, Silver, Bronze ONLY), you can pick it up during Exhibit Hall hours on Wednesday and Thursday.

Live streaming

We'll be live streaming all of the keynote presentations on the video page. All presentations that are live streamed will also be available for viewing on O'Reilly Ideas after the conference.

Speaker slides

We'll be posting speaker slides as we get them; however keep in mind not all speakers choose to make their slides available for download.

Video recordings

All tutorials, sessions, and keynotes at OSCON are being recorded. This video compilation will be available for purchase about three weeks after the conference ends. Please note: If you have a Platinum or Gold pass, the video compilation is already included with your pass. There is no need to purchase it separately.

Photography & video

We want to capture the excitement of our conferences, and you may see photographers or videographers (including those we've hired) documenting this event. We also encourage attendees to share their conference experiences through social media. It's possible that you might appear in some of these shots. We invite you to speak directly with any photographer if you have concerns about their activities. Photos or videos taken by or on behalf of O'Reilly may be posted on one or more of our sites or used in future marketing materials and publications.

Tribe Tables

If you were to pick your "tribe," what would it be? Java masterminds? Hardware Hackers? Microservices? Join other tribe members during lunch at OSCON to share ideas and talk about the issues of the day (and maybe solve a few). Tribe tables are daily Monday-Thursday in the lunch room (Exhibit Halls 2-3).

Relaxation Room

Need a break from all the learning at OSCON? We'll have a relaxation room open from 8:00am - 5:00pm in Show Office 11 on the 2nd floor.
