The original (also the biggest, baddest & broadest) open source gathering returns to Portland.
It's the 20th anniversary celebration this year at OSCON, the longest running conference with open source as the central theme. OSCON is the place to get an overarching perspective on the decisions that strengthen and grow companies, a deep knowledge of key open source technology to make it happen, and access to a community that can help both you and your organization thrive.
Innovative and emerging open source projects will be at the center of OSCON 2018. Each and every track has been selected because of its open source nature and the significant change it presents to software development. We're focusing on these topics as a means to consider and solve critical, real-world problems:
Since 1999, the O'Reilly Open Source Convention has brought together talented people from diverse backgrounds who are doing amazing things with open source. Join us to learn more about how to build resilient projects and industries, how open source can be a strategic business advantage, and the unique strengths that open source technology has to offer.
We believe that true innovation depends on hearing from, and listening to, people with a variety of perspectives. Please read our Diversity Statement.
We're committed to creating a safe and productive environment for everyone at all of our events. Please read our Code of Conduct.
OSCON will take place at the Oregon Convention Center, a short light rail or streetcar ride away from top restaurants, tax-free shopping, and quirky attractions. Make the most of your limited time to network and learn by staying at the Hilton Portland Downtown, the official conference hotel.
