Istio Day at OSCON

Call closed 11:59pm 05/29/2018 PDT.

Istio is an open platform for connecting, managing, and securing microservices providing an easy way to create a network of deployed services with load balancing, service-to-service authentication, monitoring, and more, without requiring any changes in service code. Istio Day will have attendees learning directly from Istio core contributors alongside a broad community of early adopters that could include you!

Each jam-packed 30-minute session should include your insights on why you have chosen Istio and how you are getting the most out of it. Istio Day sessions will take place on Tuesday, July 17 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

We want to hear about

  • Why you made the decision to use Istio?
  • How are you using Istio with other tools?
  • What changes has Istio initiated in your company?
  • Tell us your war stories, what has worked well and what hasn’t
  • AND we want demos!!!!!

So, if you’re passionate about the state of Istio, know how to leverage it with open source tools such as Prometheus and Zipkin, have an Istio demo, or have a great story or best practice to share, we want to hear from you.
