Eloise Macdonald-Meyer offers an introduction to Wagtail, an open source content management system built on Django. Whether you’re hosting a small personal site with a few pages or moving up into more enterprise-like projects, Wagtail has some great features that will help make your developers’ and users’ lives easier—with the extra bonus of a visually appealing user backend. Eloise discusses the pros and cons of the system, its unique features (like streamfields) and nature as an open source project, and the future of the project and explains how to get started with Wagtail, leading a short demonstration of quickly and easily building a site with Wagtail. Feel free to pre-install Wagtail and follow along.
