MJ Kaplan is the US-based dot connector for New Zealand-based company Loomio, a digital tool that enables collaborative decision making. Loomio is a worker-owned cooperative, and Loomio groups are creating social impact and experimenting with innovative work structures in 100+ countries. MJ connected with Loomio and joined the Enspiral network while researching social enterprise as an Ian Axford Fulbright Fellow and is now a board member. MJ teaches at Brown University and is deeply engaged in creating a robust new economy in Rhode Island, where she serves on the boards of Commerce RI and Social Enterprise Greenhouse. MJ is the founder of Kaplan Consulting, a consulting network that creates value for leaders, organizations, and communities by helping them imagine and achieve shared purpose, better decisions, results, and learning. MJ holds an MEd from Harvard University and a BA from Brown University.
