memcached Hackathon

Moderated by: Matt Ingenthron
Location: Ballroom D Level: Novice

memcached is a high-performance, distributed memory object caching system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up dynamic web applications by alleviating database load.

memcached has a rich community of users, many deployments in many high-scale website. Members of the memcached community and core developers will be at this BOF/hackathon.

At the hackathon, attendees may come to learn about memcached, discuss how it integrates with applications, participate in discussions of new features and enhancements and… most of all… do some coding. (Don’t worry, if you’re not an in-depth C programmer there are still ways you can contribute).

Anyone can view topics for the hackathon on the memcached wiki. To propose a topic either post to the wiki (you must be a project member) or post a note to the group
