Although MySQL Replication is easy to set up and easy to configure, it
is nevertheless a very versatile tool that can be used to solve many
problems in modern applications.

In this session, the developers behind MySQL Replication will go
through the architecture and concepts behind replication, introduce a
number of basic replication setups, and in a step-by-step manner
describe how to configure replication for the various setups.

After getting an understanding for how to set up basic replication
scenarios, we will go through a selection of more advanced uses, such
as: setting up row-based replication, writing clients for controlling
and monitoring replication, and also an introduction to the basic
tools for analyzing replication problems.

In order to allow session participants to test replication and
experiment with setting it up, tools to easily configure and set up
replication on your local machine will be available before the
session. You can install the tools before the session, but it is not
necessary for following the tutorial.
