The title and abstract for this talk sounded really promising. Unfortunately, the presenter repeatedly refused to answer questions about interesting non-obvious things. This is a slight exaggeration, but my general feeling was that it went like this:

Presenter: “Managing thousands of servers is really hard.”

Audience: “Yes, we know, that’s why we came to a talk about managing a large number of servers. How do you do it?”

Presenter: “Well, we have our own internal management system that I can’t talk about.”

Compared to the things that other presenters were willing to talk about at some level of detail, this wasn’t too useful.
