We will illustrate every bit of syntax in SQL Stored Procedures, such as BEGIN / END, loops, SET assignments, DECLARE statements, and (hot off the presses!) SIGNAL/RESIGNAL. There will be some simple exercises. A limited number of MySQL employees will be available to help with individual problems.
Konstantin Osipov has been a software engineer and engineering lead at MySQL since 2003. His main areas in the server are locking, parsing, execution of prepared statements and stored procedures. He was the implementer of support for Dynamic SQL in 5.0. In his other life Konstantin is a Moscow dweller with a not
uncommon combination of such hobbies as yoga, running, and computers.
Tobias is working his seventh year with MySQL, and has done well over a hundred training classes and consulting engagements.
Between customer engagements he tries to find ways to use old features in new exciting ways with MySQL.
