Robert Talbert is Professor and Assistant Chair in the Department of Mathematics at Grand Valley State University. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He is the author of the book Flipped Learning: A Guide for Higher Education Faculty (Stylus, 2017) and is a frequent workshop facilitator and keynote speaker on teaching and learning in the US and abroad. During the 2017-2018 academic year, Robert spent a sabbatical withi Steelcase Education, where he worked with the Workspace Futures group to conduct research on active learning and active learning spaces.
