Ample evidence shows that entrepreneurs and small businesses are the primary drivers of innovation and job creation in the economy. When job creation matters more than ever, what role is there for the federal government? How can the government encourage more startups, or help companies scale and grow faster? Is it possible for the government to be more entrepreneurial?
Sean Greene, an entrepreneur and early stage investor now currently at the Small Business Administration, will discuss “entrepreneur-friendly” changes in the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC), Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), and other programs, and will suggest that entrepreneurialism in government need not be an oxymoron.
Sean Greene is the Associate Administrator for Investment, and Special Adviser for Innovation at the U.S. Small Business Administration.
He brings 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investor, and
