Paul Lin

Co-Founder: Warfighter Technologies

Paul supported the 1-160th Infantry Battalion as an Intelligence Analyst during Operations Iraqi Freedom VII. During that deployment, Paul led development of the Combat Operations Interactive Network (COIN), MEDEVAC Status (MedStat), and Routes web applications.

Prior to co-founding Warfighter Technologies, Paul held positions at,, various start-ups, and the Naval Research Lab as a software and hardware engineer. He has created some of the most popular, award winning web applications and has over 14 years Linux experience. Paul holds a Bachelors of Science in Cybernetics from the University of California Los Angeles and a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California San Diego.

The world is changing and defense information technology is changing too; from its industrial age roots it is seeking to better harness innovation at the edge. In this session we will explore how the Army is working to encourage emergent innovation and how technology and approaches outside of the DoD might illuminate the way forward.
