Just as social networking has transformed the way people use the Web, in how they share information about themselves, events and even their opinions, it has altered the expectations of government and created a new level of democracy that enables fast and easy participation and collaboration. Through Web 2.0 and other technical solutions, Gov 2.0 helps government be more efficient, transparent, and responsive. Gov 2.0 provides power for its citizens to use technology to share information, build virtual communities, and connect across many boundaries.
