Security in the Cloud

Cloud Computing
Location: Room 202 B

The potential for cloud computing to make government and businesses more agile, save money and deliver scalable services has been well-covered by the media. The issues that surround cloud computing security, although obscured by the hype, are no less serious. What kind of data can be moved safely to the cloud? Where can it be stored, and with what protections? What authorities are in charge of evaluating the strength of cloud computing security and auditing implementation? What are the legal implications of moving government services or data into public clouds?

This session, moderated by InformationWeek’s Nick Hoover, will provide perspective on this questions and more, highlighting what both government and business IT executives need to know about security in the cloud.
