Yaron is a career diplomat. He joined the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1999. During his diplomatic career he held two overseas positions, as Deputy Consul general in Los Angeles, CA, (2005-2008) and as the Spokesperson of the Embassy of Israel in Moscow, Russia (2000-2003).
During his service at the headquarters of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem he was the Director of the Diplomatic Cadet’s Program (2004-2005) and held posts in the Economic Division and currently as Deputy Director of the Training Department. In this capacity, he is responsible for the coordination and implementation of training programs.
Before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yaron worked at the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption where he was responsible for educational projects for students newly immigrating to Israel.
Yaron was born in 1972 in Zhitomir, Ukraine, and has immigrated to Israel in 1990. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science and his Master’s degree in Political Science at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
