THIS SESSION HAS REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS LISTED BELOW

There are more and more wearable devices on the market now, such as the Pebble Watch and forthcoming Apple Watch, and these feature small screens for displaying useful snippets of information, and allow the wearer to interact with apps on the device.
These wearable devices also provide a wide variety of device APIs, such as accelerometer, compass, vibration etc. We will see how these can be used inside of a miniature app.
This session will provide an introduction as to how apps can be developed for these types of miniature devices, by making use of web app technologies, specifically JavaScript.

SESSION REQUIREMENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTENDEES

Some prior experience of web application development, using JavaScript, will be useful.
