Kevin is a front-end hacker and developer evangelist for Twilio. Kevin has been researching and building apps using JavaScript on mobile devices for the last five years, including a four year stint at Appcelerator. In addition to working with Twilio’s developer community, Kevin is also the author and maintainer of Twilio’s official helper library for node.js and several tools related to web and iOS development.

Kevin lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota with his beautiful wife and three devious children.

In iOS 7, JavaScript has become a first-class citizen for iOS development. The new JavaScriptCore system framework provides a bridge between JS and Objective-C code, opening up the entire Cocoa Touch platform to JavaScript developers. This talk will explore this new API, and demonstrate how developers can take advantage of it with a demo that uses JavaScript to drive a simple 2D SpriteKit game. Read more.
