What do the world’s most innovative and fastest growing companies have in common? They are in industries with a high level of VC funding. AI equity funding since 2012 is around $30B across 4,250 deals, and deals to AI startups have increased 4.6x in the past five years. Likewise, from 2016 to 2017, VC investment more than doubled, from $5.8B to $12.5B.
