How self-learning AI can understand a company from the inside out
While nearly every firm seeks to capitalize on market trends, foster brand awareness, and understand the host of external factors that shape their success, the most robust businesses are those that recognize the need to first look in the mirror and learn about themselves. Indeed, such self-awareness is more critical than ever before, as anything from poor company culture to inefficient workstreams to insider threat can prove fatal in today’s highly competitive global economy.
Given the rapid digitization of modern business and the movement of key assets to the cloud, surprisingly few organizations have full visibility into their own operations. With sometimes thousands of IoT devices, cloud instances, and employee teams scattered across the world, the challenge of achieving this foundational visibility has become too daunting to be met by people alone.
Nicole Eagan outlines how leaders in both the public and private sector are deploying cyber-AI: an application of artificial intelligence that self-learns how a company functions from the inside. Continuously refining its sense of normal behavior for that network’s user and devices while “on the job,” cyber-AI enables organizations to know who’s accessing their vital assets and sensitive data in real time, while the technology’s inherent adaptiveness allows it to keep pace as these organizations inevitably evolve and grow. Between preventing costly employee errors, parrying sophisticated cyberattacks, and complying with increasingly strict data privacy regulations, cyber-AI is now an indispensable tool. Ultimately, its continued adoption is empowering both businesses and governments to understand the most important determiner of their long-term health: themselves.
