Marcia Tal is a highly respected executive and is widely recognized for creating and building Citigroup’s Decision Management function. She worked with the leaders of global businesses and introduced advanced analytical tools and a strong governance process into business decisions — to deliver organic growth, identify new revenue streams, and to enhance profitability while managing risk and maintaining appropriate controls. As a leader, Marcia translates her strategic vision into business initiatives. She transforms business models and produces innovative sources of revenue. Marcia can create and execute a global strategy within local markets. She has a passion for leadership and talent development within an ecosystem of partnership and community.
Marcia created a scalable, international organization embedded in more than 30 countries. Its charter was to seek significant industry breakthroughs for future franchise growth, across retail and wholesale banking products. She “stress tested” her business model through varying business cycles and market development stages (emerging/developed). Across these stages, businesses were better positioned to understand their customers, provide differentiated solutions and deliver rich results.
In founding Decision Management, Marcia leveraged her vast experience in Risk Management and Marketing to ensure that business decisions were rooted in data driven strategies and analytic disciplines that impact the P&L. The brand of Decision Management, a name that Marcia coined, represented integrity, tenacity and a culture of stretching boundaries to identify new business opportunities. Under Marcia’s leadership, the organization focused on deepening client relationships, maximizing business revenues and creating operating efficiencies.
Marcia is married and the mother of five children, and currently resides in New York.
