Lorien Smyer commented on Austin 5K City Tour Glow Fun Run/Walk (cosponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, and OpenStack)
I also have a question about photos: some group photos were taken on a bridge during the glow run/walk, but they are not in the Oscon 2016 flickr set. Any chance they will be posted?

There were running group pictures taken during the run, but very few are in flickr. Any idea when/where they might be posted?

Stephen Mankus commented on NoSQL's biggest lie: SQL never went away
Can you please post your slides from the session? Thanks!

Video Compilation

The OSCON 2016 Video Compilation, with recordings of all tutorials, keynotes and sessions (subject to speaker consent), will be available in the O'Reilly Store approximately 3 weeks after the conference ends.

Once considered a radical upstart, open source has moved from disruption to default, transforming the practice of software development.

Collaborative and transparent, open source has become modus operandi, powering the current state of innovation in technology from the cloud and data to AI, connected devices, and beyond.

But what does that mean for you, the software developer, the startup, project manager, or organization (from small nonprofits to the largest enterprises) that wants to use open source?

You’ll find the answers at OSCON, the O’Reilly Open Source Convention.

We’ve been a supporter of open source since the beginning and and a catalyst in its evolution from upstart to the default for software development and digital products. At OSCON, you can:

Get expert training for your developers, managers, and other team members. Learn about our two-day training courses.

Hear the latest on current new and hot technologies including containers (Docker, Kubernetes, and Mesos), microservices, Rust, and more.

Meet with the creators and supporters of open source projects.

Learn which open source models are right for all—or even part—of your business.

Get answers about open source that you can trust.

Learn how open source licensing works—and how to make it work for you.

There’s something for everyone at the biggest annual gathering of the open source community.

Hear from industry practitioners on the state of container-based solutions at Open Container Day.

OSCON Contribute is a hacking event welcoming new contributors to Free and Open Source (FOSS) projects of all sizes.

On Sunday, May 15, we host OSCON Kids Day, a full day of workshops for school-aged children interested in learning more about programming.

All the Bots is a one-day extravaganza devoted to the wild and wonderful world of bots.

The Community Leadership Summit brings together community leaders, organizers, and managers to refine the art of building effective and capable communities.

If you had five minutes on stage, what would you say? We’ll find out at our annual Ignite OSCON.

Join us in supporting Outreachy

O’Reilly believes strongly in the value of increasing diversity at our conferences and creating a productive and inclusive environment for all participants.

While OSCON registration is open, we’re raising funds to send to Outreachy, a nonprofit program that helps people from groups underrepresented in free and open source software get involved.
