Tom Hale
Adobe

As senior vice president of Adobe's Knowledge Worker Solutions Business Unit, Tom Hale is responsible for expanding its software solutions that help people streamline communication and collaboration with customers, employees and partners. Driving the strategy and execution for core Adobe franchises like Adobe(r) Acrobat(r) and Macromedia(r) Breeze(r) software, Hale seeks to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of knowledge workers everywhere.

Hale joined Adobe through the company's acquisition of Macromedia, Inc. in December 2005. At Macromedia, Hale was senior vice president and general manager of the Communications, Publishing and Training Division, accounting for roughly 30 percent of the company's revenue. This group included high-growth products targeted at knowledge workers such as Macromedia Breeze and Macromedia Contribute(tm) software and also included the training and e-learning agenda for Macromedia. Hale previously held key roles in product management, marketing and business strategy and was a critical contributor to numerous Macromedia product launches and strategy introductions, including the Rich Internet Application strategy and creation of the MX brand.

Prior to joining Macromedia in 1995, Hale was the director of sales and marketing at Fauve Software. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Harvard University.
